Peach cards with burgundy envelopes, a combination that should not work and does. The format is deliberately short, which makes writing easier rather than harder.

The letterpress leaves the type sitting below the surface of the paper. A gold honeycomb pattern is printed inside each envelope, kept back for whoever opens it.

300gsm FSC-certified European paper (cards), 100gsm linen-textured canvas paper with gummed tab (envelopes). Gold honeycomb pattern printed inside each envelope.

About the maker
Founded in Brussels in 2007 by fine arts graduate Cédric Chauvelot, Le Typographe takes its name from a tiny bark beetle whose galleries resemble lines of type. Its stationery is designed, letterpress printed and finished by hand in the Brussels workshop.
