Your order is packed and posted within 1 business day, Monday to Friday. Anything placed over a weekend or on a bank holiday is counted from the next working day. Once posted, Royal Mail 2nd Class and Tracked 48 both usually take 2 to 3 working days to reach you.

All paper is delivered free anywhere in the UK: notebooks, cards, pads and pressed botanicals, whatever your order comes to.

For everything else, UK delivery is free when your order comes to £40 or more. Below that, it is a flat £3.95, and the service is the same either way.

For most orders, yes. They travel with Royal Mail Tracked 48, and your tracking link is in your dispatch email the moment the parcel leaves.

Paper sent on its own is the exception. It goes free by Royal Mail 2nd Class letter post, which has no tracking, though you will still receive an email when it leaves.

Not at the moment. For now, orders are sent within the UK only.

Yes, anywhere in the UK. Start the return from your account and I will email you a prepaid Royal Mail label within 1 business day. Hand the parcel to a postie at your door, or drop it at a Post Office or parcel postbox.

In the UK, you have 30 days from delivery to change your mind, no reason needed, then a further 14 days to send the piece back. Returns are free, and your refund follows within 14 days of the parcel reaching me. If you paid a delivery charge and you are returning the whole order, that charge comes back too.

That is mine to put right. Write to hello@ourooh.co.uk with your order number and a clear photo, as soon as you reasonably can. You will get a replacement or a full refund, whichever you prefer, at no cost to you.

Gift cards are sent by email as soon as the order is placed, so they cannot be returned or refunded once the code has been issued. If the card itself does not work, tell me and I will put it right.

Yes. There are no prices anywhere inside, so it can go straight into the hands it was bought for. Everything is packed in paper, in whatever suits its size: a card or a pocket notebook travels flat in an envelope, and larger or more fragile pieces go in something sturdier.

Yes. Leave your message in the order note at checkout and I will write it out by hand and tuck it in with your order.

Not everything, and I would rather say so. Some pieces are made by hand from start to finish, some are hand-finished, and some come from small studios using specialist craft processes. Each product page tells you which, along with the maker, the material and where it was made.

Small workshops and independent studios, mostly in Japan and Europe, bought in short runs. Most of them rarely sell into Britain, which is part of why they are here. Every product page names the maker and the town.

The current online range includes Kanmi and Asakusa Bunko leather accessories, Zucchero wallets, 23janvier notebooks and pressed plants, Le Typographe letterpress cards, and Japanese stationery from RYU-RYU and Yamamoto Paper. The product page names the maker of each object.

The Kanmi coin purse has a removable handle, while the necklace purse hangs on an adjustable cord. For cards, notes and coins together, the Zucchero wildflower wallet has seven card slots and a separate clasp coin section. Check the measurements to see which suits what you carry.

Asakusa Bunko applies hand-painted colour and embossing to cowhide at its workshop in Asakusabashi, Tokyo. The Yuzen key clip has a sprung clip and three detachable hooks, in blue flower, owl or calico cat designs.

The Black Cypress and Botanical Garden A5 notebooks are bound by hand by 23janvier in south-west France. Japanese stab binding describes how they are sewn, rather than where they were made.

The RO-BIKI notebooks from Yamamoto Paper have waxed paper covers that crease and darken with use. The Hokusai Tokaido, Lighthouse and Mountain Night versions measure 12.5 by 8.8 cm, with 60 pages of 5 mm dot grid paper.

Yes. The pressed botanical pieces by 23janvier contain real plants, pressed and mounted by hand in south-west France. Each listing identifies the plant and presentation size, so you can distinguish the real pressed pieces from printed botanical illustrations.

The Le Typographe mini letterpress sets contain five cards with matching envelopes, made in Brussels. Lavender, copper, gold and peach sets are listed separately, with measurements and current availability on each page.
