Terms of service

Last updated 24 July 2026

If you have a question about these terms, email hello@ourooh.co.uk. A short note is enough, and we will reply as soon as we can.

At a glance

  • These terms apply when you use ourooh.co.uk or place an order with Ourooh.
  • Ourooh is an online shop based in Edinburgh.
  • Our objects come from independent makers and small studios. Some are made by hand, some are hand-finished, so small variations are natural.
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
  • Delivery, returns, refunds, and privacy are explained in separate policies linked from the footer and checkout.
  • Orders are for personal use, gifts, or internal business use, not commercial resale.

Who we are

Ourooh is operated by Mohssen Sadeq, trading as Ourooh.

Our correspondence address is Office 380, 18 Young Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4JB.

Using the website

You may use this website for lawful personal shopping, browsing, and ordering.

Please do not use the website in a way that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, abusive, or likely to damage Ourooh, Shopify, our customers, or the services used to run the shop.

You must not try to interfere with the website, bypass security, scrape the site at scale, copy content for commercial use, upload malicious code, or use false information when placing an order or contacting us.

Customer accounts

You may be able to create or use a customer account. Please keep your account details safe and make sure the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

If you think someone has used your account without permission, please contact us as soon as you can.

Our products

Ourooh sells objects from independent makers and small studios. Some are made by hand from start to finish, some are hand-finished, and some are made through specialist or craft-led production. Small differences in colour, surface, shape, glaze, paper, stitching, print, or finish are part of that work and should be expected.

We try to show and describe each piece clearly, including material, size, maker, origin, and care where relevant. Colours may look slightly different on your screen depending on your device and settings.

This does not affect your right to receive goods that are as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality.

Placing an order

When you place an order, you are offering to buy the items in your basket. We accept your order when we send your order confirmation.

Please check your order, email address, delivery address, and gift note before you complete checkout. If you notice a mistake after ordering, email us straight away. Orders are packed quickly, so we may not always be able to change the order before it leaves.

We may cancel or refuse an order if an item is unavailable, there is a clear error in price or description, payment cannot be processed, fraud checks raise a concern, or the delivery details cannot be used. If you have already paid and we cancel the order, we will refund you in full.

Personal use and resale

Orders are welcome for personal use, for gifts, and for businesses or organisations buying for their own use, such as client or employee gifts.

Products bought from Ourooh are not for commercial resale unless we have agreed this with you in writing.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order.

We may change prices, products, and offers from time to time, but changes will not affect an order we have already accepted.

Payment is handled through Shopify and the payment providers available at checkout. Please make sure you are authorised to use the payment method you choose.

Gift cards

Ourooh gift cards are issued by email and can be spent on anything available in the shop. They are not exchangeable for cash.

Because the code is sent as soon as the order is placed, gift cards cannot be returned or refunded once issued. This does not affect your rights if the card itself does not work as it should.

Delivery

Delivery information, including where we send, estimated timings, tracking, lost parcels, and gift-ready packing, is set out in our Delivery policy.

Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees. This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are not delivered within a reasonable time.

Returns and refunds

Returns, refunds, damaged items, faulty items, and change-of-mind returns are explained in our Returns policy.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights where goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

Gift notes and messages

If you add a gift note, please keep it lawful, respectful, and suitable to include in a parcel. We may refuse to write or include a message if it is abusive, unlawful, discriminatory, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate.

Website content and intellectual property

The Ourooh name, logo, website text, product photography, layout, graphics, and other content belong to Ourooh or to the relevant maker, photographer, platform, or rights holder.

You may view and use the website for personal shopping and browsing. You must not copy, reproduce, sell, publish, scrape, alter, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

Maker names, product names, studio names, platform names, and third party marks belong to their respective owners.

Reviews, messages, and feedback

If you send us a review, comment, photograph, message, or feedback, you confirm that it is yours to send and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

If you clearly send something for public use, such as a review or customer photograph, you allow us to use it in connection with Ourooh, including on the website, email, and social channels. We will not publish private customer service messages as testimonials without permission.

Third party services and links

Ourooh is powered by Shopify. Shopify provides the website, checkout, payments support, security, and other services that help the shop run.

The website may also include links to third party websites or platforms, such as payment providers, delivery services, social platforms, or maker websites. If you follow those links, their own terms and privacy information will apply.

Sales made through ourooh.co.uk are between you and Ourooh, not Shopify, unless Shopify is providing a separate service directly to you.

Privacy

How we collect, use, store, and share personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.

Because the shop is powered by Shopify, Shopify may also process personal information when you visit the website or use checkout.

Errors and availability

We try to keep product information, prices, delivery details, and stock levels accurate. Occasionally there may be an error, omission, or item that becomes unavailable.

If there is a clear error affecting your order, we will contact you. If we need to cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for providing the website and fulfilling accepted orders with reasonable care.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, losses caused by your misuse of the website, or business losses arising from use of the website or products bought for commercial purposes.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

If something goes wrong

If there is a problem with your order, please email us first. Most issues can be put right quickly once we know what has happened.

If you have a legal claim, these terms do not prevent you from using any rights or remedies you have as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.

The terms that apply to your order are the terms in place when your order is accepted, unless a change is required by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Scots law.

If you are a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory rights you have under the law where you live, or any right you may have to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
