The same rounded gamaguchi purse, hung on a fine cord of undyed leather that slides to whatever length suits you. The natural tan of the cord against a dyed body is the detail that makes it.

Worn at the neck it keeps a folded note, a few coins or a pair of earphones within reach without a bag at all. A tree is pressed into one side. Inside, a pale woven lining.

Cord and body both soften and take on colour with wearing. It is light enough to forget you have it on.

Oil-finished cowhide leather with a metal gamaguchi clasp and leather cord.

Leather body approx. 6 x 6.8 cm; clasp 5 cm wide; inside approx. 4.7 x 6 cm; adjustable leather cord approx. 50 cm, excluding fittings.

Care
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from prolonged moisture, direct heat and strong sunlight.
Do not wash or use household cleaners. The leather will soften and develop natural variation with use.

About the maker
Kanmi began in a home studio in Asakusa, Tokyo, an area long associated with leatherworking. For more than 20 years, the studio has made practical leather goods with gentle, recognisable details that grow richer through everyday use.
