Japanese Leather Wildflower Clasp Wallet

A row of wildflowers pressed into the front, each stem a different plant, running the full width like a band lifted from a botanical plate. The maker's name sits among them rather than on a plaque, small enough that you find it rather than read it. Turn the wallet over and there is nothing at all, only leather shaded darker at the edges where the dye has settled.

It opens twice. The coin frame lifts at the top on its own clasp, so a handful of change is reachable without unfolding anything, and the pale twill lining inside makes small coins easy to find. Below that the wallet folds flat to stepped card slots and a longer pocket for notes, held shut by a press stud.

The leather is oil-shrink, tanned so the grain draws up tight and gives a faint creak when you close your hand around it. It will loosen to the shape of your hand the more it is carried. The brass is left bright rather than antiqued, which lifts the whole thing against the leather and gives the closing a small satisfying weight.

Compact enough for a coat pocket. It arrives in its own box.
