A single hydrangea floret, four petals pressed to the thinness of paper, with a fern frond laid beside it. The colour has settled into a pale lilac that fades towards cream at the centre, and the veining reads right through.

A great deal of white space is left around it, which is what makes it work. Stamped on the reverse with the 23fleurs mark and individually different. It arrives unframed, ready for a small frame and a wall where it will be looked at closely.

Real hydrangea floret and fern, pressed for 3 to 5 weeks and mounted by hand on thick handmade cotton paper, 285gsm. Protective paper folder included.

Care
Frame behind UV-resistant glass and keep out of direct sunlight. Plant colours will change gradually towards softer natural tones. Handle only by the paper edges with clean, dry hands.

About the maker
23janvier is the south-west France paper studio founded in 2013 by visual artist Marie-Charlotte. For the 23fleurs collection, seasonal plants are gathered, pressed for 3 to 5 weeks and mounted by hand.
